use builtin HTTP basic authentication in Active Resource example

Pages 524--525 introduce HTTP basic authentication and use a plugin. For Rails 2 that could be revised to use the new builtin HTTP basic authentication.
As an aside, does that explanation need its own section header that separates it from the section about resource deletion?
