## Itemize blocks should not have hardcoded numbers

Reported by Eliza | April 28th, 2010 @ 07:34 PM | in The Rails 3 Way

Due to some issues with the XML conversion, I had to switch numbered lists to output the original numbers as part of the item text (rather than stripping them out as I had previously been doing).

grep \\item\ [0-9] chapters/*.tex will output the affected item lines, as such: chapters/working_with_controllers.tex:\item 7.Ben Curtis writes up an excellent approach to securing downloads at http://www.bencurtis.com/archives/2006/11/serving-protected-downloads-with-rails/.

For all of those matching item lines we want to strip out that line number that shows up, since they are numbered automatically by the itemize environment

I'm excluding the reference lists at the chapter-ends from this, as the numbers are relevant there.
