optional segments and groups in regexps

Reported by Xavier Noria | August 15th, 2010 @ 08:42 PM | in The Rails 3 Way

Section 2.2.5 has this sentence:

"Note that parentheses are used to define optional segment keys, kind of like what you would expect to see when defining groups in a regular expression."

I don't know, I find the remark slightly confusing since groups in regexps are not optional by default (you'd need some quantifier appended, you know). May I suggest inserting "optional" this way?

"Note that parentheses are used to define optional segment keys, kind of like what you would expect to see when defining optional groups in a regular expression."
