RSpec information outdated

Reported by Jon Seidel | April 17th, 2011 @ 09:22 AM

Much of the examples for RSpec, especially in Chapter 18, are now out of date, due to some [my opinion] sweeping changes in RSpec 2. For instance, have_tag has been dropped: to get similar functionality, you have to switch to webrat's have_selector for example, which has quite different syntax. have_text has also been dropped from RSpec2 in favor of webrat (or capybara) matchers.

Corrected information would be most helpful as upgrading from Rails2/RSpec1 to Rails3/RSpec2 is a REAL pain with a suite of existing tests.

Oh... and thanks to a comment on Wolf Arnold's blog (http://www.rubyfocus.biz/blog/2011/01/08/from_have_tag_to_have_sele..., there is a new gem that gives us back some of the have_tag goodness: https://github.com/kucaahbe/rspec2-rails-views-matchers.
